Most recently, the European Union legalized a cannabinoid-based medication for patients aged two years and above who suffer from rare types of epilepsy; Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome. The name of that medication was Epidiolex – produced by British drug company GW Pharmaceuticals.

Since Colorado launched adult-use sales back in 2014, becoming the first U.S. State to legalise recreational use of the plant, the ‘centennial State’ has already turned over $6 billion in cannabis sales revenue. This is according to the Colorado department of revenue.
It’s fairly common knowledge that cannabis has been used throughout the course of human history. In fact, many professionals speculate it’s been used for ropes and fabrics since the Neolithic age.
Illinois is set to be the 11th US state to legalize recreational cannabis with taxation revenues to help poor communities and address social inequities.
